No Meat Today
You believe that eating less meat might be good for you, animals and our home planet.
But when you begin to reduce meat consumption, it’s hard to measure your effort and balance your diet.
I know, I’ve been there.
No Meat Today makes tracking your meatless meals in a fun & simple way, whether you want to progressively adopt a vegan diet or find a flexitarian balance that suits you.
You will become the god of a universe with two planets: punch them to answer Naomi’s daily question “Did you eat meat today?”
Next time you want to indulge in a burger, you can look at your logs and decide if you can allow yourself a tender steak. I call that “asking my cow”, and it has helped me decide more than once.
Your universe hosts a single species: Daisy cows. They are named like that because they are attracted by one DAY of meatless meals.
The most friendly of them is your personal cowch, Naomi, as in Naomi’t Today, and she will accompany you on your journey to eat less meat.
Your green and peaceful “No” planet is naturally appealing to them, but you got to earn their trust by logging meatless meals.
Daisy cows are a wonderful species: they have the ability to fusion and evolve into higher forms of cows that you will discover along your journey.
• Log your meatless meals: just hit the "No" planet if you didn't have any meat, or the "Yes" planet if you did
• Gaze on your planet as it starts to attract cows, which happens each time you have one day worth of meals. Beware of scaring them!
• Fusion cows as your planet gets crowded and unlock more cows combos as you log more meals
• Have fun with the silly comments accompanying the habitual daily question: “Did you eat meat today?”
• Use your history to decide if your next meal should include meat or not
• Never forget to log your meals: ask for an evening reminder. If you don’t like notifications, just put the app on your home screen! I did both
• Still managed to forget a day? No worries, you can complete it later. Plus it’s a good memory exercise.
• Adjust the cows’ tolerance to your meaty meals by adjusting your target diet, from omnivorous to vegan

Ratings and Reviews
Just what I wanted !
I have to say I LOVE THIS APP! This app gives you the ability to choose what you consider meat, provides you with info on what your diet is actually considered (since there are so many variations of vegetarian), the yearly fee is super cheap at only $5 if you choose to sign up for it - otherwise the free version is just as amazing (you can only log one full day of no meat rather than per meal on the free one). I reached out on Instagram to proclaim my love for this app and the creator replied and was super nice to speak with as well!
Definitely recommend this app- we can all do our part to reduce meat consumption and collect cute lil cows in the process !
Thank you for your kind words!
All your love is received, deeply appreciated and used as fuel to continue to imagine a better app and of course, new cows!
Healthy Eating
Response to dev: thanks for your thoughtful response to my review. Perhaps, I don’t fully understand how to utilize the app, or I’ve misunderstood the premise… which seems to be less meat is better. I’ve been on a health journey and apps like yours have motivated me to research. You made fair points, and I updated the rating. Cheers.
Thank you for building an app that inspired me to actually research our foods and this anti-meat theory, which I now know is complete nonsense.
If you don’t eat meat nor grow your own food, you’re left with foods that are GMO, ultra-processed, carb/sugar heavy, shelf stabilized, infused with engineered dyes, flavorings and preservatives, repeatedly drenched with pesticides/herbicides, and so on. And if you think that 50% markup for ‘organic certified’ solves this, take some time to look up all of the chemicals that are approved for certified organic foods. There are plenty of reasons to avoid a burger, but beef is the least.
In short, the dev did a great job building a fun and quirky app with good intentions… yet based on a flawed premise. If you’re healthy and believe this anti-meat approach is the reason, disregard my comments. If you have tried this approach and still have health issues, consider an alternative. Either way DYOR—your health is worth it!
Response to the response: Thank you so much for revisiting your rating! The principle behind the app is to be there if you think that eating less meat is a good thing for you; I leave it up to each person to form their own opinion about what that means. I am delighted to have contributed in my own way to your journey. We are literally what we eat, and yet we don't necessarily ask ourselves enough questions about what we put on our plates. But we definitely should. Take care.

Hi, I’m “the dev” 👋
The app is not anti meat. It doesn’t define what meat is, each user does it. It doesn’t favor any particular goal, you can decide to not set one.
I put a lot of effort into making sure it’s is agnostic, which works so well that it infuriates both vegans and carnivores (not all of them, fortunately). 😅
There is a right amount of meat for you, and this app helps you figure out what it is and maintain it.
Also, there are reasons beyond nutrition alone to do it.
I am not one of these health gurus who tell you what to do. I am here for people who look at what they eat and think “hmm, maybe a bit less would make sense”.
While I appreciate that you took time to share your concerns, I would appreciate if you thanked me in a different way than by hurting my app and work, especially since reviews are supposed to be about the app first.
After all, people can do their own research. 😉
Thank you 🙏
Arnaud
wonderful app
I am going to give this app 5 stars even though I found one fault. im not certain if I couldn't find the option to change it. but if I don't log that I had no meat that day the app picks that I did in my history, and I lose cows. I lost my poor Cabernet that way. I only wish it could be left blank until I go back and log it. I am a total space cadet and just straight up forget to log some days. which leads to the sad loss of wonderful cows
but besides that wonderful app really keeps me on track and the cows are adorable 5 stars
You will not have to suffer such a tragedy again!
The last update (4.16) has already changed one piece of the puzzle (you can read extensive details about it in the release notes).. I also plan to change the way you catch up.
Thank you so much for your rating and review!
Say hi to your cows,
Arnaud
