Back in the day my mother created and ran a math tutoring service for underserved communities in South Africa called Dr Math. It was serving tens of thousands of students until bureaucracy shut the project down.
I decided to rekindle it using GPT4 as a socratic tutor and WhatsApp (for low-data accessibility) and it works amazingly. We currently have hundreds of students using it in Sub Saharan Africa (get in touch if you work in education and would like to run a pilot projects).
In building out this tool I got side-tracked on the generalisability of these models and ended up building a chatbot creation tool called LLAMABOT. This is built as a minimalist tool that is super easy to use (like Bear), for anyone to build their own custom chatbots.
